Hello, friends!
How’s your week going so far? This week has been so beautiful here in Georgia—almost 80 degrees everyday and sunny from start to finish. If it weren’t for the wild pollen (my allergies are not okay), it would’ve been flawless. Still, I’ve been soaking up every bit of the warm weather, and it has felt so good.
Last weekend was such a good one. Since taking on the caregiver role, my husband and I don’t get out as much as we’d like, so this weekend felt extra special. We celebrated my best friend’s birthday at a local winery, and it was the perfect day. The weather was gorgeous and the wine was so good.
We capped it off with sushi for dinner (yes, please), and I got to spend some time with my niece and nephew, which always makes my heart happy. On Sunday, we tackled some yard work—which, let’s be honest, I’m not a fan of—but it had to be done, ha!
All in all, a really great weekend.
Also, I’m doing everything in my power not to cut off my new nails. I decided to go longer at my nail appointment and… let’s just say I’m regretting that decision with every single typo I make.
What I’m Reading
I got an ARC (Advanced Copy) of Abby Jimenez’s upcoming book, Say You’ll Remember Me, and guys...wow. She did it again. I can’t wait for you to read it—I’ll share more soon, but just know it’s giving all the feels. It releases 4/1/25.
I need to finish Kingdom of Ash. I know, but one does not leave an Abby Jimenez book waiting.
I want to read Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green as well as Summer In The City by Alex Aster. Both are on my TBR.
I have a library loan for Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall (everyone is raving about this book)
Beauty Chat
Lately, I’ve been giving my skincare routine a little refresh—simplifying things a bit—and trying out some new products. I’ve also finished up quite a few, so I figured it’s time we talk skincare.
I’ve been loving so many products from Prequel lately. As a sensitive skin girlie, this brand has really impressed me—for a few key reasons:
The price points are incredible
The brand was founded by a dermatologist
Every product focuses on the health of the skin barrier
Seriously, for those of us with reactive or easily irritated skin, Prequel just gets it.
I’ve been using the Prequel Multi-Quench Hydration Serum and the Lucent-C Vitamin C Serum, and I’m already really impressed. I’ve raved about their Gleanser on Simply Stine before—it’s such a gentle yet effective cleanser, and a staple in my routine. I’m happy to report that both the hydration serum and the vitamin C serum are delivering visible results so far.
I also picked up their Multi-Acid Milk Peel, and I’ll share my thoughts on that once I’ve given it a full month of testing.
I recently finished the cocokind Electrolyte Water Cream, and I really liked it! It’s a lightweight moisturizer that feels so good on the skin, and I definitely plan on repurchasing it. At just $20, it’s a great price point—and can we talk about the packaging? So good. I think this will be a perfect go-to moisturizer as the weather warms up.
I also just finished the Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum (Vitamin C Alternative). I will repurchase it in the future—but probably not at full price. (We love a sale moment!) Speaking of sales….
Oh! I almost forgot to mention—I’ve also been trying out some Prose Hair products that they kindly gifted me. I’m still in the early stages of testing, but so far, I’m really enjoying the personalized formulas. I’ll share a full review soon once I’ve had more time to see how everything works with my hair, but it’s definitely off to a really promising start!
Beauty Sale Alert
Nordstrom’s Beauty Sale is happening, and it’s a good one. If you’ve been wanting to try the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation, now is the time to grab it—it’s part of the sale! Tons of other faves are marked down too, so it’s worth a peek. Shop the sale! Yes, the foundation is worth the price tag. Really.
Also, the Sephora VIB Sale starts 4/4 for VIB Rouge members! Here are some of my picks from the last sale. I’ll update the list asap!
What I’m Watching
We finally finished Severance, and wow—that ending. If you’ve watched it, I’d love to chat about it! We also finished Running Point on Netflix and I enjoyed it. I think it’s a good background show. But the one I’m still absolutely obsessed with? The White Lotus. Every episode just pulls me in deeper and I have no clue what is going to happen this season. How are there only 2 episodes left?!?
I hope the rest of your week is filled with a few good laughs, something that makes you feel cared for, and plenty of little moments that bring you joy. We all need that right now. Until next time!
Ditto on the pollen and yard work. Ugh, not my fave parts of spring in GA. I’m also ready for the Rouge sale and loading up my basket in the Sephora app. Have you tried the Haus Labs / Lady Gaga lip glosses? The fig color looks gorgeous but I’ve had a couple lip gloss misses lately when I’ve tried new brands ( Kosas and Milk). I usually stick with NARS, MAC, Fenty, or Dior, but I think I’m going to give it a try.
I just finished Everything is Tuberculosis, and wow…I would read a book by JG about how the dishwasher works.
