Leaning Into the Holidays, Beauty Restocks, and Books I Can’t Put Down
Hi friends!
I know, I know… it’s early. But I’ve already started decorating for the holidays, and honestly? I’m not even a little bit sorry about it. My dining room has been in full fall/Thanksgiving mode since August, and now the Christmas touches are slowly making their way in.
Our tree is already up in the living room. Yes, I’m that girl, but don’t worry, we still go as a family to cut down a real one. It’s one of my husband’s family traditions, and it’s always one of my favorite days of the season. I just love easing into the holidays early so that by the time December hits, I can truly enjoy it instead of rushing through decorating and stressing over a million things.
And honestly? I think I need it more than ever this year. The glow of the lights, the cozy feeling, the little bit of magic; it’s bringing me comfort in a way that feels really necessary right now.
Give me twinkle lights and holiday playlists on repeat.
The Beauty Edit
I shopped the Sephora Sale and for the most part, it was all about restocking the staples I know I’ll use. I try to shop smart during these sales so I can save a little money in the long run… think skincare refills, favorite lip products, and everyday essentials.
But I did let myself grab a few new things:
Eadem Lip Product — Devan (@devsday) has been raving about these, and even the Sephora associate couldn’t stop talking about them, so I had to try one.
Dior Highlight Palette — I couldn’t resist. I’ve seen McKenna Goddard using this and it looks stunning. It’s just as beautiful in person, and I can’t wait to play around with it.

The Book Edit
I’m in the middle of a few reads right now (story of my life):
The Unexpected Journey by Emma Heming-Willis — She’s Bruce Willis’s wife, and this memoir is such a raw and heartfelt look at caregiving, love, and identity.
11/22/63 by Stephen King — I’m about 40% through and absolutely hooked. The time travel element is fascinating, and I love how layered the storytelling feels.
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans (audio) — This one is told through letters, and I love this format. The main character, Sybil Van Antwerp, feels so real and complex.

🎬 The Entertainment Edit
We watched Frankenstein on Netflix, and I’m still thinking about it. The cast was incredible, and the story stayed surprisingly close to the book (which I kind of want to read now) based on reviews I’ve read. I was worried it might lean too gory or horror-heavy, but it ended up being deeply emotional and even sad.
The visuals were stunning. Think dark, gothic, and symbolic in every single frame. If you’re into moody, thought provoking stories with gorgeous styling, I highly recommend giving it a watch.
